Interior Design
In aspiration to curate elevated interiors through mediums of design, the following featured photography is done by myself for Fernhaus Studio and an individual design studio by Justin Vanderpoel and Stephen Stoddard.
Through thoughtful observation, set design, and photography techniques, I aim to capture the essence of each space, showcasing how expertly crafted interiors evoke emotion and create atmosphere. Each photograph tells a story, reflecting the unique vision of the designer while inviting viewers to experience the warmth and character of the environment.
Conceptualization Technique
In my approach to interior design photography, I view spaces as shared environments that embody rest, inspiration, community, warmth, and energy. Each element—lighting, furniture design, layout, textiles, and color—plays a crucial role in shaping the mood and functionality of a space. The aim is to highlight how these components work together to create an inviting atmosphere.
Recognizing that skilled designers are trained to manipulate these elements, I focus on capturing their intent and vision. By paying close attention to the interplay of light and shadow, the flow of movement, and the tactile qualities of materials, I strive to convey the unique narrative each space tells. The photographs become more than mere images; they invite viewers to experience the harmony and beauty of thoughtfully designed interiors.
